The short version: this is a content site. There are no user accounts, no newsletter and no forms collecting your personal data. The data that does move — standard server logs, performance services and third-party booking widgets — is described honestly below.
InterlakenTrips does not offer accounts, sign-ups, comments or newsletters, and does not ask you to submit personal information anywhere on the site. Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical server logs — such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — used for security, debugging and keeping the site running. Where analytics are used, we work with aggregate, non-identifying statistics (page views, referral sources, country-level geography) to understand which guides help people; we do not build individual visitor profiles and we do not sell or share visitor data with advertisers.
Three categories of third-party services touch your visit. Performance and security: the site is served through Cloudflare and uses server-side caching; these services may set technical cookies and process connection data (including IP addresses) to deliver pages fast and block malicious traffic. Booking widgets: pages embed availability widgets from GetYourGuide; when a widget loads, your browser communicates with GetYourGuide's servers, and GetYourGuide may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Affiliate links: clicking a booking link takes you to GetYourGuide with a partner identifier attached so a resulting purchase can be attributed; from that moment your data is governed by GetYourGuide's policies, not ours. You can limit or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings — the site's content works fine without them.
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct or request deletion of personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Given how little we collect, most such requests concern the third-party services above and are best exercised with them directly — but if you believe we hold any personal data about you, or have any privacy question, contact us at [email protected] and we'll respond as quickly as we can. External sites linked from our pages (booking platforms, operator sites) have their own privacy practices, which we don't control and this policy doesn't cover.
This site is a travel-planning resource intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any information from children. We may update this policy as the site or regulations evolve; the date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will simply appear on this page — there's no mailing list to notify, by design.
